I was the listing agent, I did get notices through the buyers agent, on this particular loan we were all surprised as this was marked conventional and then we found out we were an FHA & OHFA loan& didn’t close on time was surprised at that and it made it that the seller was not able to attend closing since it did not close on time as she was out of town and could not change her plans. Seller was disappointed about that
Reply from Shirley Hapner: Hi Chris. I apologize for the delay in closing. I know how frustrating this can be for all parties. The delay was due to the processing of the commitment from OHFA. They took three weeks to review the file. We did not anticipate this, as OHFA usually reviews files within 10-14 days and evidently got behind. And we did close this as a conventional loan. It was never FHA. I hope this helps to explain the situation. You are a wonderful agent, and I know delays with a seller can be an issue. Please send our apologies to the seller as well.
