I have known Barry Friedman since 1998 when he helped my wife and I buy the house we live in now. Because of our experience with Barry over the last 18 years (our initial purchasing and three refinances), we would never consider working with anyone else on refinancing our current home or if we chose to buy another house. In short, Barry Friedman is the model for what every lender should be. Here’s why: Barry takes all anxiety out of the entire process of buying a home or refinancing one. He accomplishes this by listening to his clients and becoming fully aware of what they are hoping to achieve and what they are willing to do to achieve it. His strengths as a listener are further enhanced by his wide-ranging knowledge of his business. Barry is encyclopedic when it comes to understanding both the philosophical/theoretical aspects of the mortgage business as well as the technical intricacies of that business. Not only does he fully grasp financial and market influences in a global way, but he also understands what those influences mean to each individual client he works with! Last, Barry’s personal demeanor is beyond reproach. A kinder and more thoughtful man, who possesses a wonderful sense of humor, I have yet to meet. And, as a professor who has been teaching for over 35 years, I have met lots of folks. Barry treats his co-workers with dignity and respect; they in turn treat his clients the same way. Business is handled efficiently and with grace (yes, it’s actually kind of graceful the way he can make things work). I’ll close by saying Barry Friedman has made my family’s life so much better than it could have been had we not met. We not only have a home thanks to Barry, but a better life as well.
