Lou Layne is an amazing mortgage banker and I am thrilled to have worked with Lou. Together we both worked to secure my mortgage loan within the 45 day timeline. I was so nervous about prequalifying for a house I found and wanted to apply for. Lou took my prequalification application over the phone on a Saturday and had me prequalified with a prequal letter within 2 hours. I was able to submit an offer for my house and have it accepted within a week. Once Lou received my signed offer letter, he really got to work and within a few days I had my preliminary approvals and then my letters of commitment. I was shocked how easy and stress free the online process was. I would receive my approvals in my email and knew my loan application was progressing to the next step. Lou worked diligently on my behalf when I purchased specialized insurance needed for the property and to double check all insurances when questions came up. I never doubted that Lou Layne was working on my behalf. I felt like I was being taken care of and also received needed pep talks when necessary: We closed to the day Lou forecast in my original prequalification letter and preliminary loan disclosure. I was so thrilled to close in such a timely manner because I can not wait to move into my new home! I can't recommend Lou Layne highly enough. I am forever indebted to his expertise in securing me an amazing interest rate and understanding the dips and swings of the interest rate world. Lou is very responsive, calm and helpful, and makes sure the deal works for everyone. I had unusual circumstances, and so I didn't fit the cookie cutter mold that the online lenders have. No problem for Lou!

It was a pleasure working with Lou. He broke down the specifics of my pre-qualification and my interest rate. Which lead to getting a great rate! He was quick to respond to any questions I had, usually within 12 hours, and could be accessed by phone or email. I would recommend him to anyone interested in buying a house and would definitely use him in the future!

I randomly picked Lou from the Bank of Albuquerque website and the experience was pain free, stress free, and way too easy. He's very knowledgeable, responsive, and worked really hard to make sure I got the best deal. For example, he noticed my homeowner's insurance was WAY higher than it should have been, and that was significant because a newer/better policy resulted in a decrease in my mortgage payment. I now pay half for insurance what I used to pay.

Lou was very knowledgeable on the pathway to purchase program which helped me afford my first home. He was very responsive and always provided clear answers to all of my questions and concerns. Would strongly recommend Lou to anyone that is looking to get a mortgage loan!
