The purpose of this position includes directing, coordinating, and monitoring all sales, branch operation, and personnel development activities to create a business operation that increases sales, profitability, market share, and customer and employee satisfaction.

Candidates will ideally have approximately 3 years of successful experience in retail mortgage production, to include management roles. Less experience will be considered given past performances.

The purpose of this position is to proactively solicit new residential mortgage clients, while developing and cultivating a strong business network of referrals. It is the responsibility of a Loan Originator to analyze a borrower's financial and credit data to determine creditworthiness and the probability of financial security in repayment efforts.

Primary Residential Mortgage Inc. is hiring a Loan Officer Assistant for the Flower Mound team. The Loan Officer (LO) Assistant will be responsible for supporting one or more loan originators or production partners though sales assistance, loan coordination, document collection, and customer service. PRMI is a customer service focused team working at a high paced level of productivity.

The ideal candidate would posses the following:

  • Track and manage new leads and follows up on referral business
  • Meet with borrowers as requested by Loan Officer
  • Complete Fannie Mae Form 1003 and complete loan setup in Encompass
  • Pull credit reports
  • Run DU/LP/GUS
  • Track and manages new leads and follows up on referral business

  • Prefer a minimum of 1 year of recent experience in mortgage lending preferably in a client facing role
  • Working knowledge of loan program guidelines including conventional, jumbo, and government loan programs

Responsible for evaluating risk, layering of risk, program guideline accuracy, collateral review and making appropriate loan decisions based on established underwriting guidelines, information and documentation provided in loan files. Manage assigned pipeline to ensure all procedures are applied accurately and processes are completed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as lending program guideline subject matter expert relative to current offered loan products
  • Review highly complex applications for completeness and update data in Encompass to ensure data integrity
  • Work with team members to clear conditions in a timely manner
  • Analyze and review documentation in file to verify accuracy of application and support underwriting decision
  • Calculate income based on tax returns and/or other income documents in file
  • Review and confirm assets in file
  • Review and analyze appraisals, preliminary title work and purchase contracts
  • Communicate decisions (written and verbal) to all parties and build relationships with our team.
  • Help clear post-closing and suspense items

Qualifications

  • 5 years (minimum) full time recent experience reviewing both credit applications and property appraisals
  • Currently using DE
  • Must be a reliable and responsible professional, skilled in mortgage evaluation
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience regarding the principles of mortgage underwriting
  • Previous experience working with AUS and LOS Systems
  • Previous experience with manual underwriting (downgrades)
  • Familiarity with Encompass is a plus

  • Prefer a minimum of 3-5 years of recent experience in mortgage lending preferably in a client facing role
  • Working knowledge of loan program guidelines including conventional, jumbo, and government loan programs
  • Proficiency in DU/LP/GUS
  • Excellent communication and people skills required.
  • Creative problem solver with a positive attitude
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in order to meet deadlines, strong organization skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness along with the ability to demonstrate professionalism
  • FNMA / FHLMC and FHA/VA programs required.
  • Prior knowledge of Encompass operating system a plus
  • Obtain and review required loan documentation and submits complete loan packages to Underwriting for approval.
  • Manages a pipeline of loans and maintain timely and compliant flow of such loans through the process.
  • Communicates with loan officers, buyers, sellers, title companies, builder and agents.
  • Provides excellent customer service by effectively communicating and cooperating with all internal and external customers.
  • Monitors and ensures closing dates and company deadlines are met.

The ideal candidate would posses the following:

  • Close loan files by collecting necessary documentation and reviewing loan package.
  • Affirm loan compliance with all investor product and program guidelines and policies, as well as state and federal regulations
  • Prepares closing loan package necessary for individual loan types in accordance with Investor guidelines as well as Secondary Marketing commitments and requirements
  • Ensures the timely movement and closing of approved loans through the pipeline
  • Contacts Title Companies, Attorneys, Loan Officers, Processors and Branch Managers to obtain documentation necessary to close mortgage loans
  • Monitors loan status on a continual basis to ensure that timely/qualify standards are achieved
  • Advises all parties of any changes or issues that may occur to ensure high quality standards and customer service
  • Performs a pre-closing quality review of loan files prior to releasing closing package
  • Reviews all preliminary documents provided from attorney/title Company to include, but not limited to: Title binder, survey, termite report, Hazard/Flood insurance binder, Deed, HUD1 Settlement Statement, Power of Attorney and/or Trust documentation
  • Responds to and resolves technical and complex problems that arise
  • Follows up on any deficiency requests by Shipping and Post-Closing to ensure timely procedure for loan funding
  • Complies with Banks Policies and Procedures, as well as regulatory compliance
  • Keeps abreast of industry regulations and changes

Qualifications

  • Extremely organized with great time management and analysis skills is preferred
  • Familiarity with loan products such as Conventional, FHA, USDA, and VA; as well as knowledge of mortgage industry regulations from origination to post-closing is needed
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience closing Conventional and government loans
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of real estate lending criteria, compliance, federal/state regulations
  • Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment typical to Mortgage Banking
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Encompass LOS a plus
