When I joined PRMI 13 years ago, I could never have imagined the path my career—and life—would take. Today, as the Vice President of HR, I’m humbled to look back at a journey that’s been shaped not only by hard work and growth but also by the incredible support of an organization that truly values its people. I’d like to take this opportunity to share my story and why I’m so passionate about the work we do here.
When I started, I was a single mother with two young boys, working at PRMI an during the day and picking up extra jobs at night, working towards a better future. Like so many of you, I was juggling multiple responsibilities, trying to provide for my family while being the present and engaged parent I wanted to be. It wasn’t easy, but I kept showing up, doing my best, and hoping for better.
I’ll never forget the day a management position opened with the Closing team. It felt like the opportunity I had been working toward. After an interview process that I approached with a mix of excitement and anticipation, I was offered the role. That day marked a turning point in my life. For the first time, I was able to quit my second job and focus solely on my career. More importantly, it gave me something even more valuable than financial stability: time with my sons.
For me, that time was priceless—making breakfast, combing hair, helping with homework, and cheering on the sidelines at sports games. I didn’t have to choose between being a good parent and pursuing a career I was passionate about. PRMI made it possible to have both, and for that, I will always be grateful.
Over the years, I’ve worked in four different departments and held six different roles. Each position taught me something new, not just about the business but about myself. I’ve gained a deep appreciation for the variety of work that makes this organization thrive—from the executives setting strategic direction to the front-line teams executing with precision. Every role, every task, every contribution matters. And I’ve seen firsthand how our company supports those who are willing to work hard and strive for more.
In my current role as VP of HR, my goal is to help others experience the same opportunities for growth and support that I have. I want to create an environment where every employee feels empowered to bring their best selves to work while also being able to prioritize what matters most in their lives. Whether that’s spending time with family, pursuing a personal passion, or achieving a professional dream, I believe PRMI is at its best when we help our employees achieve balance and purpose.
As I reflect on the past 13 years, I'm glad to finally be in a position to help others navigate their own journeys. I’m inspired every day by the incredible stories of resilience, determination, and success within this company.
Thank you to everyone—at every level of this organization—who makes this company what it is. You are the reason PRMI is a place where people can grow, achieve, and thrive.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on what we can do as an organization - and as peers – can do to help each other grow and succeed?
