7 Ideas For Your Summer Bucket List (5 Min Read)

We all know that summer is the most peaceful and relaxing part of the year, but do you know what your plans are yet? Let me ask you this, would you remember a summer where you sat around and did nothing, more than a summer filled with fun activities? Probably not. So this summer let’s make it a point to get out of the house and experience life with all its beauty. Now you’re probably thinking “Well what should I do this summer?” and while there’s no clear cut answer, the best way to start figuring it out is by making a bucket list. Whether it be for your family, your best friends, or just you personally; there are plenty of spontaneous ideas for your list that could help to make this summer one to remember. Creating a bucket list doesn’t have to be hard or full of those expensive activities that probably won’t happen (yes, I’m talking about skydiving). Instead, you could create a list of exciting activities or just something meaningful to make sure you get the most out of your summer. Try to brainstorm your own ideas and make it personal, but if you’re having trouble we’ve put together a list of items below that will allow for some great family time without breaking the bank.

  • Drive-In Movie Theater

This is an old classic that’s starting its comeback. Look up the nearest drive-in theater, grab your friends and family, and relax while watching movies and eating lots of popcorn. If there are no drive-in theaters within a couple hours of you, don’t be afraid to make your own in your backyard! It can be a great memory down the line.

  • Go to the Zoo

This one is especially great if you have younger children or relatives. It’s always relaxing to take a day to have fun at the zoo with your loved ones. Take pictures, feed the animals, and maybe even get a tan.

  • Eat a Snow Cone

After sweating all day from the summer heat, go to the local snow cone stand to cool down. Almost any stand you go to will have plenty of flavors to choose from, so you’re almost guaranteed to find something you’ll enjoy.

  • Watch the Sunset

This one is very meaningful and also completely free. Find a nice spot to watch the sunset and grab a friend. These little things can remind you just how beautiful life is.

  • Make S’mores

Gather up some of your closest friends and family for a bonfire in your backyard, listen to music, tell stories, and eat some delicious s’mores. After all, spending time with the important people in your life is what summer is all about.

  • Go for a Road Trip

This can be as simple as going to visit a neighboring town that you’ve never been to, or going across multiple states for a full blown vacation. Either way, you’ll make memories that you won’t regret.

  • Watch a Baseball Game

We all know there’s a big difference between watching sporting events on TV compared to watching them in person. The environment can be one of the most thrilling things about a baseball game, so get out there and experience it!

Don’t let your summer pass by without making the most of it. Make a bucket list, get outdoors, and experience life. Ten years down the line, you won’t regret the summer you did every single thing you had planned on your list, but you will regret staying home and not accomplishing anything. Don’t be the person with regret this summer, be the person with the extraordinary memories!
