In this process, we calculate your borrowing capacity - reviewing your earning status, available money for down payment, debt, income, and other areas. It's a short, thorough process with minimal risks for papercuts.

Once you qualify, we present to you a Pre-Qualification Letter (your real estate agent might call it a "pre-qual"), that documents the fact that we are working with you to find the best mortgage to fit your needs and that we're confident you will qualify for a mortgage for a specific amount.

 

Buying Clout

Holding your pre-qualification letter, several advantages fall at your feet at the point you locate the house you want to put an offer on. First, it lets you know how much you're able to offer. Having been pre-qualified by a lender will also make your offer more attractive to the home seller (as if you were bringing them a suitcase full of cash).  They need not worry about taking their home off the market for you, know that your qualify for the price you are offering.
