Total incompetence. We had all documentation in to PRMI three weeks before closing. We documented well over 1.2 mil in assets in our trust, over 12K a month in solid income, zero debt and IRAs that dwarfed the trust assets. We got nothing but positive feedback from PRMI on how we were doing. Two weeks before closing we were called and asked if we would close early, which we declined to do - that sort of indicated they were ready and happy for closing to us. Less than 48 hours before closing we start getting emails that (1) We don't qualify for the 390,000 loan, (2) they aren't happy with the appraisal they ordered and had early not had qualms about, (3) that they don't recognize our revocable living trust as a trust and that they question whether we (the clearly stated trustees of the trust) are really the trustees and (4) they blamed everyone else but themselves (our realtor, the appraiser, the insurance company, the underwriter, our attorney and us). They demanded an extra $34,000 in cash be brought to closing the next day. I also feel like we got squeezed with a less than competitive interest rate. We should have gone with Quicken. PRMI can't be trusted and don't seem competent or professional. Take your business somewhere else.

I recently relocated to FL from VA. I was given the name of Benjamin Macht to be my mortgage advisor. Wow! Was that ever a nightmare!! This man only chose to talk to me on the very first day he knew I needed a mortgage, ensuring he got my business! After that, he turned things over to Cynthia ( his assistant who does not respond to calls or voicemails and who asks for the same information to be sent over and over, disregarding all attachments and info already sent)--who is not even nice on the rare chance you get to speak with her. She turns everything over to someone else as does Ben. It was a terrible experience and became a nightmare at the last minute, most especially!!! I was here staying with a friend, waiting for closing, which kept being pushed off. I had a mover on his way to deliver my house contents. The mover took over a week, which was to be more than enough, except for the fact that I was relying on Ben, who did not interact, respond, or keep communication open. I had to ask my realtor how much I needed at closing because Ben and Cynthia wouldn't communicate with me. My realtor asked Ben how much I needed and he told him it would be $15,000 or thereabouts. I made certain to have more, thankfully, though not enough. The morning of closing (after having had to put my things in storage and pay for yet another move!!), I was told I needed to wire $22,650! I had just $21,000 to my name, which was to be the money I had to rely on until I got settled in my new home. I had to give every bit of what I had to close and borrow from my daughter so that I could get moved into my new home. I never got a direct call from Ben or Cynthia. As a matter of fact, when I called and asked Cynthia to take care of the paperwork to reflect corrections on the total due, she said she couldn't help me. Here I was sitting outside the bank waiting to wire money so that I could get into a house I had been waiting to close on for TWO WEEKS!!! There is no excuse for such slip shod work and I implore you, if you need a mortgage, not to use Ben Macht!!! I don't know how he sleeps at night, knowing how little he cares about his clients!
