Background:
I started at the Clovis Fire Department in 2011 and was promoted to Lieutenant Paramedic before having to leave due to a medical condition that prevented me from continuing my career as a fireman. I transitioned to being a flight paramedic serving Eastern New Mexico and West Texas while obtaining my bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with an emphasis in pre-med. In the summer of 2021, I decided to no longer pursue medicine and I began studying to be a loan officer. I started with Frost Mortgage a few months later. I have served as a Loan Officer Assistant and Loan Officer with Frost Mortgage and PRMI. I have loved the transition, and my only regret is not making it sooner. My team and I strive to make sure that every client is informed and fully understands what is happening each step of the way. We value communication and strive to provide an enjoyable experience in the home buying process.
Family & Hobbies
At home I am a dad to the 3 most adorable puppies you will ever meet. My dogs are my world, and my friends and family routinely refer to them as my kids. My dad and stepmom live in Albuquerque, where my dad is a police officer and she is a nurse. My mom and stepdad live in Portales, and I gladly get to work along side them here at Frost Mortgage. My family is extremely important to me and I love getting to work with them and spend the time I do with them.
Outside the office, my hobbies include a variety of sports, reading textbooks (chemistry is my favorite) and playing video games with friends. I went back to the Clovis Fire Department to serve as a paramedic on the ambulance in September of 2020 and still work there 3-4 times a month. I find helping people rewarding and I have found joy in both helping people medicinally and with their home purchases.
Honors & Awards:
Prior to switching to the mortgage profession, I was honored as EMT of the Year in 2017. I obtained my Flight Paramedic Certification and Critical Care Paramedic Certification in 2016 after only being a paramedic for 1 year. I aspire to have the same success in mortgage lending as I did in emergency medicine.
