Joe Thiesmann is an entrepreneur, restaurateur, motivational speaker and former star quarterback of the Washington Redskins.
During his 12 years in the NFL, Thiesmann set many records and helped the team make two consecutive Super Bowl appearances. As star quarterback, Thiesmann led them to a 27-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl XVII.
After an injury ended his football career, Thiesmann joined ESPN and has spent the last two decades on their NFL broadcast and the NFL Network.
In 1982, he was he named the NFL’s “Man of the Year” for his community service and dedication to the health and welfare of children. Additionally, Thiesmann received the Walter Camp Football Foundation “Distinguished American”
Award in 2013.
